Union Minister Pralhad Joshi praised Diu for becoming the first district in India to meet its entire daytime electricity demand through solar energy, achieving a capacity of 11.88 MW. During his visit, he reviewed solar energy progress and called for faster implementation of the PM-Surya Ghar Yojana to maximize benefits for residents. The Fudam Solar Park was highlighted for its role in reducing transmission losses and making electricity more affordable.
