DoT Launches 5G Innovation Hackathon 2026 to Propel Telecom Solutions

The Department of Telecommunications (DoT), Ministry of Communications has announced the 5G Innovation Hackathon 2026, aimed at fostering innovation in 5G technology and its applications. This initiative, part of the 100 5G Use Case Labs Initiative, calls on students, start-ups, and MSMEs to develop scalable solutions in areas including 5G, IoT, AI, and network security. Participants will receive seed funding, access to advanced 5G lab infrastructure, and Intellectual Property Rights support. The Hackathon offers prizes worth over ₹10 lakh, with winning projects to be showcased at the India Mobile Congress 2026.
