Draft Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025: Public Feedback and Cybersecurity Initiatives
The Ministry of Electronics & IT has published the Draft Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025, receiving 6,915 inputs from citizens and stakeholders. The rules aim to operationalize the DPDP Act, 2023, which regulates digital personal data processing. The government is also enhancing cybersecurity through capacity building, public awareness campaigns, and various initiatives like the CyberShakti program and the establishment of the National Critical Information Infrastructure Protection Centre.
