DRDO Successfully Concludes Akash-NG Trials

The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has completed successful User Evaluation Trials for the Akash-NG missile system, marking a significant milestone in air defense capabilities for India. The trials were observed by senior scientists and representatives from the Indian Air Force. Equipped with an indigenous RF seeker and a solid rocket motor, the Akash-NG missile system successfully intercepted aerial targets across varying ranges and altitudes. The system's infrastructure, including multifunction radar and launcher vehicles, was entirely designed by DRDO laboratories aided by Indian industries. These successful trials set the stage for the missile's induction into the Indian armed forces, enhancing national air defense capabilities.
