DRI Dismantles Mephedrone Factory in Maharashtra
In a significant operation named "Operation Hinterland Brew," the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) successfully dismantled a clandestine Mephedrone manufacturing unit in Wardha, Maharashtra. The operation resulted in the seizure of 128 kg of Mephedrone, with an estimated market value of Rs 192 crore, along with 245 kg of precursor chemicals and full manufacturing equipment. This hidden factory was strategically located in a rural area to avoid detection. Three key individuals involved in the production and distribution of the drug were arrested. This marks the fifth such facility dismantled by the DRI this year, emphasizing their commitment to combat narcotics under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan.
