Drone Surveys Under SVAMITVA Scheme Completed in 90,573 Villages in Uttar Pradesh
The Ministry of Panchayati Raj has announced the completion of drone surveys in 90,573 abadi villages in Uttar Pradesh as part of the SVAMITVA Scheme, leading to the preparation of 1.08 crore property cards in 70,958 villages. The surveys, conducted with the help of Survey of India using survey grade drones, aim for a positional accuracy of up to 5 cm. Ground verification is performed with local representatives before finalizing property maps. However, there are currently no plans to create a National Rural Property Database by integrating SVAMITVA data with other central registries.
