Drone Technology Enhances Shrimp Culture and Monitoring in India

The Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying has initiated research on drone technology for shrimp culture, including water sampling, feed distribution, and health monitoring. A prototype drone is being developed for transporting fish and shrimp, with a 70kg payload capacity. A Technical Committee has been formed to establish Standard Operating Procedures for drone applications in fisheries.
