e-KYC Integration Enhances MGNREGA Transparency
The Ministry of Rural Development reports that 99.67% of active MGNREGA workers are now Aadhaar-seeded, facilitating the use of e-KYC for job card verification and renewal. This initiative aims to improve transparency, efficiency, and service delivery under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act, which covers 2.69 lakh Gram Panchayats and over 26 Crore registered workers. The e-KYC process allows for real-time verification of workers' identities, ensuring timely and accurate job card management.
