ECI Launches Capacity Building Programme for Field Functionaries

The Election Commission of India (ECI) has initiated a two-day capacity building programme for 379 Booth Level Officers (BLO) Supervisors at the India International Institute of Democracy and Election Management (IIIDEM) in New Delhi. Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar emphasized the importance of these training sessions in ensuring compliance with electoral laws and enhancing the understanding of electoral procedures among participants. The training includes practical sessions on voter registration, form handling, and the use of IT tools, as well as demonstrations of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and Voter Verified Paper Audit Trails (VVPATs).
