The Election Commission of India has successfully implemented its new digital platform, ECINET, during recent bye-elections in five Assembly Constituencies across Kerala, Gujarat, Punjab, and West Bengal. This initiative aims to enhance the transparency and efficiency of election information dissemination. Key achievements include the direct uploading of Voter Turnout Reports (VTR) by Presiding Officers and the rapid publication of Index Cards within 72 hours of poll results, significantly reducing the time previously required for these processes.
