Efforts Intensified by Ministry of Culture to Curb Antiquities Theft

The Ministry of Culture has reported six cases of theft from the Monuments of National Importance, with successful recovery in four cases. The government employs various measures, including deployment of security forces and vigilance at exit points, to prevent illicit trafficking of cultural property. FIRs are lodged for every incident, and efforts are made to raise cultural heritage awareness. Recent recoveries include artifacts from Andhra Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jharkhand, and Tamil Nadu.
