Efforts to Expand Jan Aushadhi Kendras in Andhra Pradesh

The Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers reported on the distribution and sales activities of Janaushadhi products across Andhra Pradesh. As of December 31, 2025, a total of 272 Jan Aushadhi Kendras (JAKs) have opened across various districts in the state. The Janaushadhi product basket includes over 2,110 medicines and 315 medical devices, with an emphasis on common therapeutic areas like cardiovascular diseases, oncology, and anti-diabetic medicines. Measures have been implemented to ensure the effective supply and availability of medicines, including an information-technology-enabled supply chain and a focus on monitoring fast-moving products. Sales data from the Konaseema district was detailed, showing gradual growth in revenues over the financial years.
