Election Commission Deploys Special Roll Observers for Intensive Electoral Roll Revision
The Election Commission of India (ECI) has appointed Special Roll Observers (SROs) to supervise the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Electoral Rolls in key states: West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Rajasthan. The SROs will operate two days a week in these regions until February 2026, ensuring that all eligible voters are included while removing ineligible entries.
