The Election Commission of India has announced a significant increase in remuneration for Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and BLO Supervisors, doubling their annual pay and introducing honorariums for Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) and Assistant EROs (AEROs) for the first time. This decision aims to enhance the integrity of electoral rolls and recognize the hard work of election personnel. The revised remuneration includes a special incentive for BLOs involved in Special Intensive Revision starting from Bihar.
