Election Commission Takes Action Against Money Power in Bihar Elections
The Election Commission of India has issued directives to various enforcement agencies to prevent the use of money power, freebies, and illegal substances in the upcoming Bihar elections scheduled for October 6, 2025. Expenditure Observers have been deployed to monitor election expenses, and an online system for real-time reporting of seizures has been activated. Since the announcement of elections, over Rs. 33.97 crore worth of cash, liquor, drugs, and freebies have been seized. The Commission emphasizes the need to ensure that citizens are not inconvenienced during enforcement activities.
