Election Commission to Share Booth-Wise ASD Lists in 12 States/UTs

The Election Commission has directed Chief Electoral Officers (CEOs) in 12 states and union territories to distribute booth-wise lists of electors marked as Absent, Shifted, or Dead/Duplicate (ASD) to Booth Level Agents (BLAs) of political parties. This initiative aims to rectify errors before publishing draft electoral rolls, ensuring no eligible voter is omitted. Resembling the Bihar SIR model, nearly 5 lakh Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will engage in meetings to provide these lists to over 12 lakh BLAs. Upon publishing the draft rolls, ASD lists will be available online in a searchable format.
