Electronics Component Manufacturing Scheme Receives Overwhelming Response
The Electronics Components Manufacturing Scheme has garnered applications worth Rs. 1,15,351 crores from both domestic and international industries, significantly exceeding its target. Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw emphasized the scheme's potential to create 1,42,000 direct jobs and urged states to develop their electronics manufacturing sectors. The initiative aims to strengthen India's position as a global manufacturing hub and achieve a $500 billion electronics ecosystem by 2030-31.
