The Department of Fisheries, Government of India, has approved significant fisheries development projects under the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY), benefiting thousands of women across the country. Over Rs. 1,078 crore has been allocated for fisheries projects in Karnataka, while enhanced financial assistance supports 124,490 women beneficiaries nationwide.
