Empowerment of Scheduled Tribes through Development Action Plan

The Ministry of Tribal Affairs is implementing the Development Action Plan for Scheduled Tribes (DAPST) to enhance the welfare and development of Scheduled Tribes in India. This initiative involves collaboration with 41 ministries and departments, allocating funds for various projects in education, health, agriculture, and more. An online monitoring system has been established to track fund utilization, ensuring transparency and accountability. Key schemes include the DhartiAabaJanjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan, Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan, and Eklavya Model Residential Schools, aimed at improving infrastructure and educational opportunities for tribal communities.
