Enforcement Task Force Reviews Compliance in NCR to Combat Air Pollution
The Enforcement Task Force (ETF) of the Commission for Air Quality Management convened for its 126th meeting to assess inspection and enforcement activities addressing air pollution in the National Capital Region (NCR) from February 4 to February 18, 2026. During this period, 318 inspections were conducted by flying squads, resulting in 131 reported violations spanning industrial, construction, and diesel generator sectors, among others. Subsequent actions included proposals to close 39 units and issue show cause notices to 15 units. The ongoing environmental oversight reiterates the commitment to improving air quality and enforcing compliance.
