Enhancements in Electronic Evidence for Judicial Efficiency

The Ministry of Home Affairs has introduced applications like e-Sakshya, e-Summon, and Nyaya-Shruti (VC) to enhance the judicial process's speed, efficiency, and transparency. These tools facilitate the collection and submission of digital evidence, electronic delivery of summons, and virtual appearances in court. The National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) has also upgraded its Crime and Criminal Tracking Network Systems (CCTNS) and launched a mobile app for stakeholders to access new criminal laws. The Bhartiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNNS), 2023, supports the use of electronic means for evidence recording and trials.
