Enhancements to NeVA for Linguistic Inclusiveness

The National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA) has integrated new technological features to promote linguistic inclusiveness in State Legislatures. Key updates include Text-to-Text Machine Translation via Bhashini for translating portals into 22 regional languages and English, and a Unicode-based encoding system for content management. The project, sanctioned by the Public Investment Board at a cost of Rs 673.94 crore, has seen 28 State/UT legislatures sign MoUs for adoption, with 19 already fully digitalized as of June 2025.
