Enhancing Export Competitiveness of Indian Textile Industry

The Indian Ministry of Textiles, led by Union Minister Shri Giriraj Singh, is focusing on enhancing the export competitiveness of the textile sector amidst global trade challenges. A high-level meeting with industry stakeholders emphasized the need for diversification, structural reforms, and tapping into new markets, with a target of achieving USD 100 billion in exports by 2030. Four committees will be formed to drive these reforms, aiming to boost domestic value addition and strengthen India's position in the global textile market.
