Enhancing Legal Aid: NALSA Opens 16 New Centres in Uttar Pradesh

The National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) has expanded its efforts to provide legal assistance to underprivileged citizens by establishing 16 new Legal Aid Centres in Amroha, Uttar Pradesh. This initiative, ensured by the District Legal Services Authority, facilitated free legal aid to 458 individuals within the first nine months of the fiscal year 2025-26. Minister of State for Law and Justice, Arjun Ram Meghwal, emphasized this progress in the Lok Sabha, citing it as a significant step in ensuring justice is accessible to all, regardless of economic barriers.
