EPFO Achieves Record Member Addition in May 2025
The Employees' Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) reported a historic net addition of 20.06 lakh members in May 2025, the highest since tracking began in April 2018. This represents a 4.79% increase from April 2025 and a 2.84% increase from May 2024. The growth is attributed to enhanced employment opportunities and effective outreach initiatives. Notably, the 18-25 age group constituted 59.48% of new subscribers, with significant increases in female membership as well. Maharashtra led state contributions, accounting for 20.33% of net payroll additions.
