The EPFO has raised the auto-settlement limit for advance claims from ₹1 lakh to ₹5 lakhs, enabling faster access to funds for members. This enhancement aims to provide timely financial support, especially during urgent situations. The auto-settlement process, which began during the COVID-19 pandemic, has seen significant growth, with 2.34 crore claims processed in FY 2024-25 alone. The new limit allows for quicker processing within three days, reflecting the EPFO's commitment to improving service delivery through technology.
