Establishment of Biotechnology Incubators in India

The Ministry of Science & Technology has established 94 biotechnology incubation and pre-incubation centers across 25 States and Union Territories in India through BIRAC. This initiative aims to nurture entrepreneurship in biotechnology and related sectors. The government allocates significant funds annually for the establishment of new incubators, with a total of approximately Rs. 48,942.37 Lakhs invested over the past 13 years.
