Evaluation of Mission Karmayogi Reaches New Milestones

Mission Karmayogi, initiated in September 2020 by the Government of India, is a pivotal effort in reforming the civil service by transitioning from a rule-based to a role-based HR system, with a global outlook while maintaining Indian values. As of February 2026, over 1.49 crore users have been onboarded on the iGOT Karmayogi platform, which hosts more than 4,342 courses available in 23 languages. The programme emphasizes continual evaluation with the support of the Cabinet Secretariat Coordination Unit and a high-level Steering Committee to improve framework execution, leveraging technological tools for monitoring. Recent directions have been issued to enhance the impact, supplemented by a third-party evaluation recently conducted.
