Expanding Eklavya Model Residential Schools for Tribal Students
Union Minister of State Shri. Durgadas Uikey announced the ongoing expansion of the Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) Scheme, aiming to improve educational resources for Scheduled Tribe students in remote regions. Initiated in the 2018-19 Union Budget, the scheme plans to set up schools in areas with a significant tribal population. With 723 schools already sanctioned, this initiative supports the educational upliftment of underserved tribal students across India.
