Expansion of 4G Broadband in North Eastern Region

As of June 2025, 42,093 out of 45,934 villages in the North Eastern Region have mobile connectivity, with 40,663 villages having 4G access. The government is enhancing telecom infrastructure through the Digital Bharat Nidhi (DBN) and BharatNet projects, aiming to provide equitable access to communication and digital services in remote areas. 2,485 mobile towers have been installed, and 12,283 FTTH connections have been provided to improve connectivity for education, healthcare, and e-governance.
