Expansion of Agricultural Practices with Drones under Namo Drone Didi Scheme
The Namo Drone Didi Scheme, launched by the Government of India, aims to empower Women Self Help Groups (SHGs) through the distribution of agricultural drones. The scheme, funded with an outlay of Rs. 1261 Crores, is being implemented from 2023 to 2026. As of 2026, 1094 drones have been distributed by Lead Fertilizer Companies (LFCs), enhancing agricultural practices and business opportunities for the SHGs.
