Expansion of Forest Rights Act Cells Announced

The Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs, Shri Durgadas Uikey, announced the expansion of Forest Rights Act (FRA) Cells as part of the Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DA-JGUA). The plan includes setting up 20 State-level and 443 District-level FRA Cells across 30 Indian States and Union Territories. Additionally, Integrated Project Monitoring Units (PMUs) will be established with specialized experts to oversee the implementation of FRA-related initiatives.
