Expansion of Jan Aushadhi Kendras at Railway Stations

The Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers has announced the opening of 106 Jan Aushadhi Kendras (JAKs) at railway stations across India by June 30, 2025, as part of the Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana scheme. This initiative aims to provide quality and affordable medicines to the public, including railway passengers. A total of 16,912 JAKs have been established nationwide, with 8,660 in rural areas, resulting in significant savings for citizens. An IT-enabled supply chain system has been implemented to ensure product availability.
