Expansion of Video Conferencing Facilities in Indian Family Courts
The Ministry of Law & Justice, Government of India, is enhancing digital infrastructure in family courts through the eCourts Project, enabling video conferencing across 3,240 court complexes. This initiative, under the administrative control of High Courts, is part of a larger effort to facilitate virtual hearings, saving time and resources while maintaining access to justice. Through virtual platforms such as Nyaya Shruti, cases can be resolved more efficiently, accommodating the needs of underprivileged litigants and allowing flexible court appearances.
