The Ministry of Education has extended the application deadline for the National Means cum Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMSS) for the year 2025-26 to September 30, 2025. The NSP portal has been open for applications since June 2, 2025. The scheme aims to support meritorious students from economically weaker sections, providing one lakh scholarships annually for Class IX students. Eligibility includes a parental income cap of Rs. 3.50 lakh and a minimum of 55% marks in Class VII. Verification processes are in place, with deadlines for verification set for October 2025.
