Family Pension for Divorced Daughters Announced by Government

The Department of Pension and Pensioners’ Welfare has updated the Central Civil Service (Pension) Rules, 2021, to ensure that divorced or widowed daughters of deceased government employees or pensioners are eligible for family pensions. The pension will be granted if there are no surviving eligible family members, and it will continue until the daughter remarries or becomes financially independent, provided she was dependent on her parents during their lifetime.
