Financial Aid for Cancer Patients under Rashtriya Arogya Nidhi

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has announced that poor cancer patients can receive financial assistance of up to ₹15 lakh under the Health Minister’s Cancer Patient Fund, part of the Rashtriya Arogya Nidhi (RAN). Patients can apply for aid through online or offline modes at government hospitals. The scheme aims to support those living below the poverty line and includes provisions for various cancer treatment facilities across the country. In the fiscal year 2024-25, ₹27.06 crores were disbursed, benefiting 134 patients in 2025-2026.
