Fire Incident at MPs’ Flats in Brahmaputra Building
A fire broke out at the Staff Quarter block of MPs’ Flats in Brahmaputra Building, New Delhi, due to firecrackers ignited by children. The fire was reported at 1:18 PM and was extinguished by 1:45 PM with no casualties. CPWD officials and Delhi Fire Service coordinated effectively to manage the situation, cutting off power and gas supply and ensuring evacuation. Automatic sprinklers were not installed in the area as per National Building Code provisions.
