First Assembly of International Big Cat Alliance Held in New Delhi
The inaugural Assembly of the International Big Cat Alliance (IBCA) took place in New Delhi, presided over by Union Minister Shri Bhupender Yadav. The assembly emphasized the need for collective action among Big Cat Range Countries to conserve seven major big cat species and their habitats. Delegates from nine countries participated, endorsing Yadav as IBCA President and discussing strategies for wildlife conservation. The IBCA aims to enhance collaboration among range countries to protect big cats and their ecosystems, addressing biodiversity loss and climate change.
