First Randomisation of EVM-VVPATs for Bihar Elections Completed
The Election Commission of India has completed the first randomization of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and Voter Verified Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) for Phase-I of the General Elections in Bihar. This process involved the random allocation of 54,311 Ballot Units, 54,311 Control Units, and 58,123 VVPATs to 121 Assembly Constituencies. The lists of randomized units have been shared with political parties and will be stored securely until the elections.
