First Randomisation of EVM-VVPATs for Bihar Elections Completed
The Election Commission of India has completed the first randomization of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and Voter Verified Paper Audit Trails (VVPATs) for Phase-II of the General Elections in Bihar. This process involved the random allocation of 53,806 Ballot Units, 53,806 Control Units, and 57,746 VVPATs to 122 Assembly Constituencies, with lists shared with political parties. The randomization was conducted in the presence of representatives from recognized political parties and the equipment will be stored securely until the elections.
