The Election Commission of India has completed the first randomization of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and Voter Verified Paper Audit Trails (VVPATs) for bye-elections in eight Assembly Constituencies across various states. This process, conducted from October 9 to October 16, 2025, involved District Election Officers and representatives from recognized political parties. The details of the randomization have been shared with the political parties, and the EVMs and VVPATs will be securely stored until the elections.
