Five Companies Selected for PLI White Goods Scheme

The PLI (Production-Linked Incentive) Scheme for White Goods has provisionally selected five companies in its fourth round to encourage domestic manufacturing in air conditioner components. These companies are set to produce goods worth ₹8,337 crore and generate close to 1,800 jobs by the fiscal year 2027–28. Under the wider initiative, a total investment of ₹11,198 crore from 85 approved companies is expected, aiming to boost India's position in global supply chains for air conditioners and LED lights by improving the domestic production ecosystem.
