Football for Schools Initiative Reaches Over 87,000 Students in West Bengal

Dr. Sukanta Majumdar, Union Minister of State for Education & Development of North Eastern Region, presided over a football distribution event in Dakshin Dinajpur, West Bengal, under the Football for Schools initiative. Organized by the Ministry of Education and supported by FIFA and AIFF, the initiative aims to integrate football into school programs to promote sportsmanship and physical fitness among students. Over 87,000 footballs were distributed across West Bengal, with the program achieving nationwide reach in 33 States and Union Territories.
