The Ministry of Tourism reported the statistics of Foreign Tourist Arrivals (FTAs) in India and Indian Nationals' Departures (INDs) for the years 2019, 2022, 2023, and 2024. FTAs showed a significant increase from 64,37,467 in 2022 to 99,51,722 in 2024, while INDs rose from 2,16,02,734 in 2022 to 3,08,85,048 in 2024. The report highlights the top countries contributing to FTAs and INDs, with the United States, Bangladesh, and the United Kingdom being notable sources for FTAs, and the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and the United States leading in INDs.
