Foundation Laid for ₹1,800 Crore Rail Manufacturing Hub in Madhya Pradesh

The Government of India has laid the foundation stone for the ₹1,800-crore 'Brahma–BEML Rail Manufacturing Hub' in Umaria, Madhya Pradesh, marking a significant step towards self-reliance. Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan emphasized the importance of adopting 'Swadeshi' products to strengthen the economy. The hub is expected to create over 5,000 jobs and boost the local MSME sector, while ensuring that farmers' interests are protected in international agreements.
