FSSAI Enhances Food Safety Testing Infrastructure to Combat Adulteration

The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) continues its robust efforts to combat food adulteration by expanding testing infrastructure and conducting extensive surveillance. The FSSAI has introduced 246 National Accreditation Board Laboratories for primary analysis and 24 referral laboratories for appellate sample analysis. To bolster testing in remote areas, 305 'Food Safety on Wheels' mobile laboratories have been deployed across India.
