FSSAI Initiates Campaigns for Food Safety Awareness in India

The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) is actively working to increase public awareness about the importance of safe and healthy eating habits. Through initiatives like 'Aaj se Thoda Kam' and 'Har Label Kuch Kehta Hai', FSSAI aims to educate consumers on reducing intake of fat, salt, and sugar and understanding food labels. Additionally, FSSAI enforces stringent food safety standards and conducts nationwide surveillance to ensure compliance, as part of their mandate under the Food Safety and Standards (FSS) Act, 2006.
