Full Customs Duty Exemption on Petrochemical Imports Extended

The Government of India has decided to extend the full Customs Duty exemption on critical petrochemical products until 15th July 2026. This extension, originally set to end on 30th June 2026, was put in place as a response to the conflict in West Asia, which has impacted global supply chains. The move aims to ensure the continued availability of petrochemicals in the domestic market as Indian petroleum companies focus on LPG production. The exemption benefits sectors reliant on petrochemicals such as plastics, textiles, and pharmaceuticals, helping to stabilize prices for consumers and manufacturers.
