Functioning of Fast Track Special Courts in Gujarat
The Ministry of Law and Justice reported that Gujarat has 54 Fast Track Special Courts (FTSCs) handling rape and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act cases. The Centrally Sponsored Scheme supports 35 of these courts, including 24 exclusive POCSO courts. Recent data reveal the courts disposed of thousands of cases over the last three years, demonstrating their significant workload and contribution to the justice system.
